Today, Mrs. Tamar shared an incredibly heartwarming story with us, which is written in Italian and we have translated it for you. “🌍 A story that truly moved us.
In 2008, during one of our missions in Georgia, we met Dr. Tamar Kvachadze — a young, purposeful woman with a dream in her eyes and a courage in her heart — ready for success.
Over the years, Tamar has made her own way: she moved to another department, founded a bone marrow transplant center, and today, she is the head physician of the adult and pediatric oncology department.
💬 A few days ago, during one of the congresses held in Italy, she expressed her desire to meet with us. Amidst strong emotions, unexpectedly for everyone, Tamar presented the Cure2Children Foundation with an award.
The foundation’s representative, #Roberto Valerio, asked her in surprise: “Tamar, But why are you rewarding us? We haven’t had direct cooperation with your center, have we?...“
His answer left us speechless: “It’s true, we haven’t worked together, but you gave me courage — the courage to dare, to believe that it was possible… And if today I am the head physician of the Bone Marrow Transplantation Center, it’s also because of you.”
